Silently Revived

Thus says Yahuah: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16

Over the past few years we've seen a sort of revival coming about in homes across the country. More and more families are turning to the old ways- homesteading, gardening, canning, sourdough, and natural medicines. It's been a beautiful transformation; a renewed value for life and self responsibility to sustain life and well-being. A multitude has come out from under relying on the government for food and health.

In this same way, a silent revival of faith has been stirred up. Just as people lose faith in the government systems, we also have a multitude losing faith in the religious systems. They have been called back to the old paths. A renewed value for living in the paths of God, finding the right way and walking in it, has been ignited in believers across the world. It has been a revival, new life in Messiah, a self-responsibility to understand the scriptures and a drive to deepen the relationship with the One who truly sustains our life.

A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray. Isaiah 35:8

There is a calling out that has been happing for a few years now. I know that it's hard to understand, it's not like the Brownsville revival nor does it look like the Asbury revival, there's no media coverage or church recognition, but I can assure you, it's revival! It has been simple- finding new life in the old paths, where the good way is. It's not a new faith, religion, or denomination. People from every walk of life, every denomination have come to walk the Highway of Holiness. Now, let me pause to clarify something- holiness does not mean 'holier than thou' nor does it mean legalism. If you call yourself by the name of God you are called to be holy, period. Holy simply means set-apart from the world; set-apart for God. That's it. So when I say people are seeking holiness, I mean they are literally desiring to come away from the world- which includes religious systems and traditions- to come into a deeper dedication to God.

This silent revival is one that has taken place in the secret place, in the hearts of His children. When we begin to come out of church tradition and worldly holidays, and into the Sabbath, into His feast days, into clean eating- that is the fruit coming forth from being in that secret place with the Father. What religion calls a burden, the Father calls righteousness and the good way. Righteousness comes in two forms: imputed righteousness is that of the Messiah, one only He can give us by His perfection. Obedience on the other hand, is righteousness by acting in the behavior the Father has set forth, His right-rulings. Acting in right behavior is the verb half of our faith. Because we have imputed righteousness, we choose to act in the right manner prescribed by God. It's that simple.

New life, revival within the hearts of believers, has been the revelation of just this. We know our Messiah and love Him so dearly! In turn, we want to live as fully and completely for Him as possible- acting in right behavior according to what God has named as right behavior for His set-apart people. Does that mean we are perfect? Absolutely not. Isaiah 35:8 even the foolish who walk in it will not stumble, because it is a firm foundation! The commandments of Yahuah are the firm foundation for which our faith stands. You may say no Jesus is, and I agree, but we have to consider which version of Jesus we are going to portray. As we have seen across the board in the Christian faith, numerous versions of Jesus are being taught. So which is the right one? The One who proclaimed the Way, the Truth, the Light, and the Life.

  • Way: The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. Deut. 28:9

  • Truth: Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth. Psalm 119:42

  • Light: For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Proverbs 6:23

  • Life: And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Matthew 19:17

The Messiah did not proclaim another way nor did He ever teach against obedience to the Father's ways. This is the reality that this silent revival has begun to walk in.

And Jesus said to him, “What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?”

And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind (Deut. 6:5); and your neighbor as yourself (Lev. 19:18).”

And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this and you will live (Lev. 18:5).”  Luke 10:26-28

Jesus specifically asked what does the Law, the Torah or instruction of God, already say to do in order to inherit eternal life. Then He directly quoted Leviticus 18:5 do this and you will live. Do the things already written and you will have revival!! This is what has been happening silently in the hearts of believers, people who are hungry and thirsty for the presence and righteousness of God. We just want Him! We want to learn from Him and do His instruction. We want to love, honor, and reverence Him with everything in us!

I thought it time to bring this matter to light because we see the Spirit moving yet again! HalleluYah!! He is not silent this time but calling loudly. We see the hunger and thirst for His presence on the media and it's sparking more and more hearts to come alive. My prayer is to see the silent revival meet the loud revival in Spirit and Truth.

Please know that if you see me standing back from tradition to lean into the ways of God, I'm not being legalistic, nor do I feel burdened. In fact, I have found incredible freedom and clarity with reading the word, believing it, and doing it without doctrines of man telling me what's applicable and what's not. I am pressing into the presence and following the Spirit the same as those in Asbury. This is my worship and my song, to obey His word.

At night my soul longs for You, also my spirit within me seeks You diligently. For when Your right-rulings are on the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9

Catch the outpouring of the Spirit that's happening right now, and let that hunger drive you into the secret place to learn from the Father. Learn righteousness- according to His standard, not man's theology- and experience peace and blessing beyond measure.
